We attended the glamourous Insider Magazine Awards dinner this week where we were wined and dined as we eagerly anticipated the announcement of our category.
To continue on the back of all the good news we were very pleased to hear that we'd won the South East Food Producer of the Year award! We'll be entered in with all of the regional winners for the UK award so fingers crossed!

As part of exhibiting at the Lunch! trade show in September, we entered our Peanut Butter Snack Packs in for the Lunch! Innovation Challenge 2013 and guess what…
we were voted as one of the finalists!
The award is voted for by hundreds of buyers at the show, our popcorn was commended for its ‘great taste’ and ‘appealing packaging’ – so it’s been a very satisfying month at Popcorn HQ!

We have received the very exciting news that 3 more of our popcorn flavours have been awarded gold stars at the Great Taste Awards!
Our Peanut Butter, Lemon Poppy Seed and Thai Style Peanut Satay flavours were each awarded Gold Stars bringing our grand total to 11 Great Taste Awards in just 3 years and we couldn’t be happier!

When the sun is shining, I like nothing more than a refreshing glass of Gin & Tonic, with lots of ice and a slice of lemon, which got me thinking: I wonder if I can make this in to a popcorn flavour?
Well, after lots of tinkering (and plenty of gin tasting) we’ve released the world’s first ever Gin & Tonic Popcorn!
Made using London’s Finest Gin, it’s certainly been turning a few heads on our Twitter and Facebook pages!

We’ve just got back from the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, where we showcased our popcorn to the music lovers of London.
The sun was shining for the whole 10 days, and crowds of up to 65,000 people a day were flocking to try some of our popcorn (although The Rolling Stones might have had something to do with that…).
Adam even got asked for an autograph following his CBBC appearance on Trade Your Way to the USA! Whatever next?

We’re really excited to announce that iconic department store, Liberty of London will be stocking a range of gourmet gift jars in their beautiful chocolate shop on Regent Street, making us their first non-chocolate product ever to be stocked there!
We'll be doing regular tastings on Friday afternoons, so pop down for a treat if you're nearby!

I’ve been back in the kitchen tinkering with new flavours and after some great feedback at shows, we’re now ready to launch them…
Firstly, Cheddar & Smoked Paprika, made with rich, tangy cheddar cheese and smoked
de la Vera Paprika from South-West Spain.
My second new flavour is Peanut Satay, with peanuts, oriental spices and a spicy chilli kick to finish.
We also have a Mediterranean style cheese and herb flavour,
which is like a whole Greek salad on a piece of popcorn!
Finally We have an olive oil, mozzarella, tomato & pepper flavour, with extra virgin olive oil, followed by the creamy mozzarella and sun-ripened tomato with a peppery finish.

We're appearing on the CBBC show, 'Trade Your Way to the USA' on the 24th April at 4.30pm, on the CBBC channel.
Hosted by the lovely Saira Khan, two teams of young entrepreneurs had their buying and selling skills put to the test, this time with our gourmet popcorn!
After a brief tour of our kitchens and an introduction to our popcorn, the teams sat down to choose their flavours with Adam, and after some tough negotiations, settled on what they would be selling the following day at Greenwich Market.
All in all, it was a fantastic weekend of filming which was great fun for us to be a part of!

We've just returned from the first ever Cake & Bake Show in Manchester and we are exhausted after a fantastic few days!
Everybody loved our new flavours, the most popular being Mint Chocolate, and Thai Style Peanut Satay, both of which (along with some others) will be available as limited edition flavours on the website soon so watch this space!
We managed to sell out of a number of flavours, including Blue Cheese Walnut & Celery which was particularly popular following a special appearance on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch programme with Tim Lovejoy & Simon Rimmer who both seemed to enjoy it thankfully!
The highlight of the show was meeting lots of people who hadn't tried our popcorn before, including world class chocolatier, Paul Young.
All in all a brilliant weekend!

Our Blue Cheese, Walnut & Celery flavour popcorn was featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch programme, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer!
In a taste test of posh popcorn, our Blue Cheese flavour seemed to go down well with Tim, Simon and the guests, including comedian Russell Kane who later tweeted us saying how much he loved it!
In not so good news, our website crashed as a result of the number of people checking us out following the show! Thankfully we managed to get it back up and running very soon. Phew!
